Montiís Back Doorís award-winning jazz series will continue every Monday night in April and May with a cornucopia of accomplished musicians.

Produced by JAMN Jazz Productions and supported by Jazz in AZ, the Jazz Cabaret series has amassed a stellar lineup for the New Year. All performances run from 5:30 to 8pm. Show up early for good seats to see and hear the following:

Last yearís jazz nights at Montiís Back Door won the series a MADEE Award for producer JAMN Jazz Productions. Proceeds from ticket sales will support the programís ongoing efforts to bring the best of local jazz to downtown Tempe, as well as present Sunday Night Jazz Improv Jam Sessions at Montiís featuring some of Arizonaís rising jazz stars. Itís a great place to spot standouts amid todayís jazz resurgence.

Jazz fans will also dig the easily accessed concert location at Montiís restaurant on downtown Tempeís legendary Mill Avenue, complete with its ďfree parkingĒ lot (a rare commodity in Tempe!). Montiís La Casa Vieja, known for serving great steaks since the Ď50s, can be found at 100 S. Mill Avenue, just over the Mill Avenue Bridge and right across the street from the equally renown Hayden Flour Mill.
